Bob Dylan Background #1

Shortly after his fame, Bob Dylan wrote over two dozen songs regarding the cold war. He was soon named a "protest singer" by many historians and journalists. Through these songs, he highlighted his opinion on the experiences the world was going through. He would say through his lyrics how he felt about civil rights and anti-war movements. One of his most famous "cold war" songs was "Masters of War". Click on the link provided and listen to this song. 1. In my opinion, the most powerful line in Masters of War is "you hide in your mansion
while the young people's blood flows out of their bodies". I think this is the most powerful line because it shows how cruel war is. I agree with Bob Dylan that war is a very serious thing and leaders send out commands to watch innocent people die. Countries want to gain more power and wealth, and will do it at the cost of others lives, even if they have done nothing wrong. This line shows a very powerful perspective that should be considered.
